Scott Colom leads by 43 votes with 96% counted. I am not sure whether any more in-person votes remain to be counted. Absentee votes postmarked by Nov 3 which arrive by Nov 10 are counted. The absentee votes will probably decide the race.

In Mississippi, there is no automatic recount and a candidate can not request a recount except through the decision of a judge in a legal proceeding.
