I took it seriously, I guess, when the word was: we are too much in our own silos, and need to break out. Read what the other side is saying and you will be better able to communicate with them and reach middle ground.

In order to do that, I trained my Face Book account to send me posts put up by right wing people and by right wing bots. I thought that way I would see what the other side sees and, who knows, that I may even changed some of my views.

Didn’t happen. Made me even more despondent that we will easily get out of the mess we find ourselves in. Today’s blog post required little thinking or creativity on my part. Here are the headlines, without editing, of some of the Face Book posts I have seen over the last two days:

Obviously, I could go on and on. I tried to get my Face Book feed to send me this sort of material by opening and giving comments on right win links. Do you get this material even if you don’t do that??
